Jeff and Jenn Crowder pressed their first grapes in 2012 and two years later bottled their first bottle of wine. That was an amazing moment for Jeff, winemaker and owner of Radiance Winery
. Jeff spent two years at Washington State University taking classes in their Enology program (winemaking), following his passion.
August 2015 the Crowders opened Radiance Winery located at 546 Klate Road in Manson. They did a wonderful job with construction and definitely a stop on your next wine tour. Currently they produce about 1200 cases a year. Jeff says his favorite wine is their Cabernet Franc however the Rose is their best seller. Radiance produces nine varieties of wine and I'm sure you will find the perfect glass for yourself!
January 2017 Radiance set up a tasting room in downtown Manson, 67 Wapato Way. Jeff said they made the decision to open the tasting room for many reason one of which was to help downtown Manson fill an empty space and to stay open later in the evenings. Jeff's brother Kenney is managing the tasting room. I was impressed with the outside seating area that can be used even in cool weather. Currently both the winery and tasting room are open Friday, Saturday and Sunday but after Memorial Day both will be open seven days a week.
Radiance Winery offers a wine club with many perks and they also feature entertainment throughout the spring, summer and fall. The band Mugsy's Groove will play May 27 and one of my favorites the Kevin Jones Band
will be featured on July 2.
