My Buddy's Place Changes Ownership

My Buddy's Place is an institution in Manson. Buddy McClellan Sr. purchased Woody’s Tavern in 1991 and renamed it Buddy’s Tavern. In 1995 Buddy McClellan Jr purchased the tavern from his parents. Buddy and his business partner Alex Smith Hutton were co-owners of Buddy’s for 26 years; the community thanks them! On July 19 Ray and Shannon Medina took ownership of My Buddy’s Place and reopened for business on July 20.
The Medina’s moved to Manson from Montana in 2004. Shannon’s father owned an 8,000-acre cattle ranch in Montana, Ray helped him run the business. For the past several years Ray has worked in construction around the Lake Chelan area. When asked why they purchased Buddy’s Ray said, “We wanted to invest in Manson as this is a growing area with much potential. And My Buddy’s Place is well known and a “must stop” when coming to Manson.”
Ray does not plan any major changes this year, just getting to know the business and our customers better. “We are fortunate to have a great staff and of course Buddy’s is famous for their amazing food and huge portions, none of that will change.
Buddy’s offers shuffle board, darts, a pool table with karaoke Friday and Saturday nights. On holidays and major events, we plan to feature a live band,” Ray went on.
My Buddy’s Place, 77 W, Wapato Way is open 8:00 am to 2:00 am seven days a week and you can order out by calling 509-687-3313.
