The March 15 Manson Mingle hosted by Rootwood Cider in the downtown Manson taproom was a great event to taste the ciders on tap and to network with other Manson business people. As always the Mingle is a great way to relax and enjoy visiting and to learn a bit about the host business. Rootwood Cider is owned and operated by Jim and Cheryl Koenig and family. It was formed in 2015 as an additional enterprise of J & C Koenig Orchards. The Koenig daughters are the fifth generation in the family business of growing apples for more than 100 years in the Lake Chelan Valley. A new production facility was recently completed at the home orchard where an additional tasting room will open later this summer.
As part of the Mingle, Rootwood offered a drawing for a tasting and appetizer event for 6 people. Steve Davis of Lake Chelan Online News was the lucky winner drawn from the business cards submitted.
The April Mingle will be held on this April 19th at Sunset Bar and Grill so make plans to join us and find out what new events and activities are planned for this summer and hear about what is also new at Sunset.
