Harmony Meadows holds Grand Opening
Not only was it a very special day for Jacquelyn and Jeremy Jaech, owners of Harmony Meadows Tennis and Event Center, their Grand Opening was an amazing addition for all of us living in the Chelan Valley. The Harmony Meadows Doubles Championship highlighted the day. There were close to fifty USTA rated players participating in a four-round tournament that started at 7:30. Finals for the tournament were held on Sunday. The Jaech's have a huge network of tennis players and we will soon see their courts full. harmony-meadows View of Harmony Meadows from the tennis courts Along with their passion for tennis, the Jaech's thoroughly enjoy living in our community. They began their journey down the road to the opening of Harmony Meadows in 2013. They looked at several different properties in the area that could work for their vision. It was October 2015 when they made the decision to purchase the property on the corner of Manson Boulevard and Green Avenue in Manson, construction starting April 2016. "Our hope is to be an economic driver for the community by creating a compelling tennis destination for tourism and an educational and community resource for local residents," Jacquelyn said. Jeremy added, "This property has a rich history and fond memories for many.  We feel fortunate to continue this tradition and provide guest experiences for years to come; whether it is through tennis, an event, or even enjoying a scoop of gelato." parlor The Parlor inside Harmony Meadows. The eight outdoor destination tennis courts are pro surface hard courts, the only courts of this quality in the Pacific Northwest with four indoor courts planned in the near future. "We are very fortunate to have Jeff Richards, a tennis professional on staff to assist with training and program development," stated Jeremy. Harmony Meadows will be working with both the Manson and Chelan School Districts developing top notch programs for students. When I asked Matt Charlton, Superintendent Manson School District for a comment he said, "Our schools are excited to partner with a new Manson business, Harmony Meadows in sharing the lifelong sport of tennis with students." jeff-richards Jeff Richard tennis pro on staff at Harmony Meadows Although tennis is their passion, the Wedding and Event Center will produce the majority of the revenue according to their business plan. Whether a wedding, corporate event, party or workshop, Harmony Meadows offers you a truly unique tranquil setting with majestic views surrounding the property. Its multiple sites can be selected to accommodate your specific needs. "Harmony Meadows offers two unique accommodations. Our Life in Balance philosophy begins with immersing yourself in the opulence of The Cottage or relaxing in farmhouse elegance the Hayloft Suite provides. I invite you to view the differences between the two offerings to discover which will enable you to breathe, relax, and enjoy the surroundings and bring you closer to Harmony," Jacquelyn said. Harmony Meadows is currently working with Chelan Country to develop additional accommodations on their property. One Brewing, located on site is operated by Greg and Jo Cowell. One Brewing is an add-on to their original company, One Wines Inc. located at 526 E Woodin Avenue in Chelan for the past six years. This small but successful winery has won several awards for their unique and delectable wines. These include several gold and silver medals at competitions throughout the Pacific Northwest. They were also named as one of the top 10 wineries in Washington by Seattle Magazine. With such success in the wine business, they have expanded their expertise to begin brewing pilsner-style beer on-site at Harmony Meadows. A grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony took place at 3:00 sponsored by the Chelan Chambers of Commerce welcoming Harmony Meadows to our community. Representing the Chelan Chamber of Commerce was Mike Steele, Phil Moller and Les Cooper. Manson Chamber of Commerce members present included Sandy Day, Cheryl Koenig and Norm Manly. Kathy Miller represented the Manson Community Council. Mike Steele brought along gold plated scissors that Jacquelyn and Jeremy used cutting the ribbon and making it official. mike-steele Mike Steele with the official scissors!
