In 2015 Sandy Day open the doors of End of the Road Rustique at 86 Wapato Way in downtown Manson, a store that held many treasures you couldn't find anyplace else. In her second year of operation she added fun painting events where you could, without any talent be taught how to paint on a canvas with acrylic paints. I personally attended a couple of the events and was very impressed how well Sandy's students advanced during the two hour class.
She spread her wings offering classes in places like Alta Cellars
, Root Wood Cider
, Four Lakes Winery
and many more. These were "Paint & Sip" events, very fun for everyone. This was not a new concept for Sandy as while living in California she work with the original "Paint & Sip" company that invented the most fabulous way to spend time with friends and family. With her painting classes booming she made the decision to change the focus of her business to painting and renamed her business Canvas by the Lake
A packed house at My Buddy's Place
There are many options for you to take advantage of her talents and ability to teach how to paint. You can call and reserve a spot at her business in Manson. She can take four people at a time and figure on two hours to complete your painting. All supplies are furnished. Sandy will be there to instruct when help is needed. She will also make your time at Canvas by the Lake a fun time with music playing and Sandy dancing from place to place! Sandy says walk-ins are welcome but you might need to wait for a spot to open.
Even young folks can be exposed to the world of art.
You can also follow her on Facebook
and find out her scheduled events away from the studio. Her next schedules Paint & Sip will take place at MVP Vintners
on May 17 starting at 6:00. Pre-register by calling Sandy at 509-387-1262.
Sandy has enough equipment, easels, brushes and paint to teach 30 students at a time. If you have a group and place she can turn your next get-together a fun and different time. Again give her a call at 509-387-1262 for more information.
The Manson Chamber of Commerce
is very excited and happy to have Canvas by the Lake as one of our members.
