It didn’t take long to figure out you were in for a “Special Event” as you entered the Crosswinds Restaurant on a “Red Carpet”! Once inside your eyes were filled with many wonderful decorations and lots of stars. This was indeed, “A Night to Remember”.
The decorating committee was headed by Cindy Sneesby and her helper, KJ Casady. They made the theme, “A Night with the Stars” come alive. The waitstaff, under the direction of Tom Fitzpatrick, Crosswinds Restaurant Manager, provided excellent service and great food for the event.
Manson Chamber of Commerce Executive Director said, “The purpose for the Manson Chamber of Commerce Night to Remember Recognition Dinner is to acknowledge some extraordinary, or often ordinary people extending themselves in extraordinary effort to make our community truly amazing. We shine the spotlight on our businesses, schools, civic and social organizations and offer our sincere appreciation for all their hard work and contribution. The committee that made this night possible is an example of the excellence that represent what this night is all about. The donations, desserts, decorations, video and thoughtful words encourage and inspire all of us to participate and continue to serve each other and those who visit this wonderful place we call home.”
People met with old friends and made a few new ones as they browsed the many silent auction items, something for everyone. People looked over the many wonderful desserts that were part of the “Dessert Dash” and made the decision on which one they wanted!
Dinner was served starting with soup or a salad. That was followed by a very tasty prime rib, salmon or chicken, all prepared perfect!
Our master of ceremonies for the night, Jeff Conwell began the award ceremony with an amazing video made by the Manson High School Drone Club. Members of the club shot footage all year long at various events and under the direction of their instructor, Kate Sorensen, it was edited and produced. It received a huge round of applause!

The “Dessert Dash” not only provided a fitting topping for a great meal, it also added several dollars for the Manson Chamber of Commerce to use promoting the Manson Community.
The evening ended with a live auction for a week stay at a resort in Mexico donated by Lance and Sally Stark. Winning the bid and packing her bags was Launie Buck!
