It was defiantly kite weather for the 5th
Annual Soaring into Spring event sponsored by North Shore Bible Church
held on Sunday - April 30 at Singleton Park in Manson. North Shore is a member of the Manson Chamber of Commerce who helped promote the event. People started arriving at Singleton Park around 2:00 with the sun shining, wind blowing out of the northwest at 10 knots and temperature in the low 60's…..a perfect day to fly kites and launch rockets!
Rocket blast off for outer space!
It was hard to say who was having the most fun, kids or adults. Everywhere you looked something was flying in the air. On the ground people prepared their kite or rocket for flight and there were lots of volunteers to help. Earlier in the week kids met at North Shore, picked out their rocket and made it ready for flight.
Bottle rocket ready for launch and the pilot is ready!
Hotdogs and popcorn were free so if you were not flying something you were most likely eating something!
Pit crew works getting rockets ready for launch.
Pastor Craig Rayment was very pleased with this year's Soaring into Spring and will definitely add it to the calendar for next year.
