We spoke with the Chelan County Helath Department yesterday, Tuesday, October 4th.
They informed us that so far this year, they have had 18 animals test postive for rabies in Washington State. 3 in Chelan County.
They also let us know, that if your cat or dog is exposed to an animal believed to possibly have rabies ( a bat or squirrel for example), your best opportunity to prevent your animal from getting sick is getting them vaccinated with in 96 hours.
We would like to remind our clients to please vaccinate and and get the booster for your animals.
